just like a faucet that leaks

our a.c broke today. and i felt justified in complaining about it then laying on the couch watching tv with the fan blowing right on me for 2 hours this afternoon. school is faaaaantastic. i love my creative writing teacher and class. i think i was meant to be a poet, mostly because it's easy and there are few rules. my theater class is enlightening but relaxing. we literally are watching movie-plays for 18 weeks. and my voice class is uncovering my alter-ego. funny, but kind of true. i got called a smurf twice today because i was wearing dark blue tights. seriously, twice. lan studies so much and so hard, he is by far a superior student. (although, we did take a biology class and got the same exact grade)

i would make your name sing

he turns 24 today. happy happy happy happy birthday. growing up we got to pick out a box of sugary cereal on our birthday, and our birthday dinner. (mine was always trix and hawaiian haystacks) landon chose granola and native new yorker (still can't figure out if it's because he really wants it, or he knows i can't say no on this birthday) my mom would also tell funny stories about us at our dinner, because c'mon, who doesn't like talking about themselves? so in honor of his birthday dinner.

-he was 10 lb 6 oz and his mom had to cut his mullet the night he was born.
-he liked to color on the walls. after a couple months with no incidents, his mom was in his closet only to pull back the hangers and find a whole mural he'd been working on.
-he got in trouble, often, for trying to rebuild an engine in his bedroom.
-he served his mission in canada.
-he hates cards games.
-he has a book of sketches of motorcycles he wants to build.
-he works really hard.
-he hates doing dishes, but likes to cook, so it's an even trade.
-he has a broken down golf cart, and a broken down motorcycle in our storage unit that he's "working on".
-he is kind of anti-social.
-he fixed my moms car with a rusty spoon, my sisters car with a bar of soap, and my brothers tire with a butter knife.
-he is an avid discovery channel watcher.
-he once told me the only reason he was born was to bug me and hid and scare me.
-he has "anatomy of world war 2 aircraft's" on his nightstand as his nightly read.

okay, maybe i just like talking about him, but i love him.

i don't think i've ever seen him as excited as when i gave him this for his present. a german short haired pointer, a bird dog, go figure. her name is olive, and we love her.

i wanna hold your hand

it's funny when lando goes grocery shopping. he came home with one pound of dark chocolate, a mint plant, a basil plant, two loaves of bread, extra-sharp chedder cheese, three boxes of curry and rice, tuna rolls, one avocado, candied pecans, celery, and a 50% off box of pastries.

i like him.

we'll be making history

(in yellowstone, we {i} took lots of nap's)

i'm sick of talking about my trip. when i'm motivated again, i'll post pictures of yellowstone. it's amazing.
we've have a new niece and a new nephew! i can't wait to meet them.

school starts next monday! i can hardly wait. i'm taking music classes this semester again, and it's something i've really missed. aaaaaaand trying out for the musical in september, also something i've really missed. (wish me luck) i have my new school outfit picked out and ready to go, a major requirement.

while in wy

...we set up camp where there was no one in sight, we hiked for two days straight, we saw the first wild animal on the list... a moose! we drank from a spring, we had a mouse try to sneak in bed with us, i marveled over the wildflowers everywhere and decided i'd like to live there if only to be able to pick fresh flowers every day.

while in id

...we spent our days meandering around the snake river, eating our guts out,
and forgetting the camera most every time we needed it.

we need a head-board

we're home! we had an amazing time.

i am convinced that there is few things better for a relationship then vacation. even though we argued about directions & why i am so scared of mice ... i think i fell in love with him again.

2 days in idaho, 2 days in wyoming, 2 days in montana, and 3 days in utah. i think i fell in love with my own bed, too.

lots of pictures coming.

if i was flying

i was positively giddy all week last week. there was lots of happy tears and giggling.

i have a list. "baby girl names" for sister.

and landon has his. "animals to see in wyoming."
